So it's been a week now since I went for my Lasik Surgery. The first 2 days was not good, after the surgery my eyes were tearing. The right eye was the one giving me problems. The left eye seems fine. On the second day, I went back for the checkup and well I could actually read some lines from those eye charts but the eye was still healing. Some eye drops were given to reduce the swelling in my right eye.
By the evening of the second day the right eye was not tearing as much. I could go out but the sun still hurt the eyes a bit and had to wear shades. Everything still a little blurry especially near objects. Newsprint I could not read yet. Went back for the 2nd check up 4 days after the surgery and surprisingly I could actually read the last line of those eye charts with my left eye. The right eye was still not quite there yet. After I told the doctor that I remembered I had glass splinters in my right eye before. Old army days accident. That might take the healing process a little longer.
Currently still have difficulty reading small print, but it seems to be getting better a little bit each day. So I can't really read anything. Able to watch a little bit of TV but mainly just listen to the radio and trying to relax the eyes. Hopefully the right side will clear up within the next couple of days as the doctor said in my case it might just take 1 to 2 weeks for the right side to heal up and get back into shape. The left eye is fine by now.

A little souvenir from the Eye Centre where I had my surgery.
Overall, distance objects I can see now. Just near ones or small size prints still need to clear up. With the other previous scars like the exploding coke bottle which put 3 stitches to the jaw and the glass splinters in the eye. Not forgetting the parang hit to the head which added another 5 stitches and a persistent little scar on the ear which was from Chicken Pox. Now with the Lasik surgery in an attempt to get a 'bionic' eye. Starting to feel like the six million dollar man. Well I think it's more like Frankenstein now. Stick a couple of bolts in the throat and I'll look the part :)
