F1 Package

After purchasing the F1 tickets online, the organisers sent me an email that my tickets were ready for collection from Suntec's Singpost branch. I made my way down last week, was a little bit excited about it all, to collect the tickets I showed the email collection note to the counter staff and they went to look for my tickets. They came back with this box, I was thinking wow !! so big what's inside. Figured they should be a program, some info on the race venue, do's and don't's what to do and see, how to get there and other race info.

Box

You notice the box there was my name and the ticket number as well, it was sealed and the counter staff told me to check that the details were correct before she opened it. Once confirmed she open the security tape and showed me the contents. Boy was I surprised. Here's what's INSIDE the box.

InsideBox

Yep you guessed it, a practically empty box. only the main ticket folder was at the back of the box. I asked the staff how come such a big box for such a small item. She told me no choice it was for security reasons. No wonder the whole place was filled with boxes and 90% of the box space is empty !! Anyway's the main ticket folder looked impressive.

RaceFolder

It gives you an idea of the track and with the dates and other race information. It seems you have to have different tickets for each race day. Plus everyday is a different design. The tickets look cool I am going to keep them after the races as a souvenir. Pretty neat stuff the tickets and lanyards. Well this really looks exciting and with the build up to the first ever night race and first ever Singapore F1 GP going on in Singapore, I'm excited about it all. Everywhere you look it's on the F1 race, newspaper sports pages are filled with F1 news everyday, the entire downtown area is now in 'lockdown' mode, it's like an episode of Prison Break with the high fences and barriers, TV commercials are just capitalising on the event with practically every other commercial is on F1. Shopping centres are also getting into the act with various activities going on. 26, 27, 28 September 2008 is RACE DAY. only 5 days to go !!
