Now that I am back from Hong Kong, here's my take on the first visit to the city.
What I really like about Hong Kong is the links between the main areas of shopping and their MTR, you're not far from one of the stations. The MTR was an enjoyable experience. With First Class carriages and no noise carriages, pretty innovative. It's a little old but what do you expect it's been around like 30 years I think. Other things I like about Hong Kong is the many eateries although did not really order anything special since language was a small barrier. Hotel was great, security was very tight, had to present our guest cards before going into the lifts. Even the Hotel 'Public' toilets you had to swipe your room card to enter the toilets, which basically made it really clean.
What I dislike about Hong Kong, was the heat, well maybe it's because it's summer. It was really HOT !! It's dusty and crowded too. Really crowded. Shops open late as well, like 11am is normal for them it seems. Can't they open earlier.
Ah a final observation. 4 is not an auspicious number. Shopping Centres have levels 1, 2, 3, 5, 6 .... No 4's.
